Brother of Bram Van Velde, Geer Van Velde is a painter from the Netherlands. The artist never broke with reality, painting figurative canvases rather expressionist. After settling in the south of France, his style and his reflection will evolve around the question of “inside-outside”, painting stripped and luminous canvases. He also painted series of Atelier from his studio in Cachan. Throughout his life, the artist will experiment with various movements without ever giving in to the severity of each of them.
