
Bernard Buffet was part of the expressionist painters’ movement and refused to integrate abstract art. His unique style and his figures quickly aroused the interest of art critics and collectors. Despite his great popularity, the harshness and darkness of his work, and the fertile was disliked by intellectuals. His work is the subject of numerous retrospectives and is exhibited all over the world.
