Recognized as one of the greatest figures in the plastic arts in Mali, Abdoulaye Konaté uses fabric as his main creative material. The artist addresses various themes in his works such as the human condition in our contemporary societies. Abdoulaye Konaté finds his inspiration in the world news and associates in his works the African symbolism and the Western modernism through an analysis of the relation between the colors.
